Lagos begins e-registration for 2025 model colleges, upgraded JSS entrance exams



The Lagos State Government has commenced the 2025 e-Registration Entrance Examination (Screening Test) for Primary Six pupils seeking admission into its Model Colleges and Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools.

According to the Director of the Lagos State Examinations Board, Mr. Adebayo Orunsolu, the e-registration process begins on Thursday, February 6, and will close on Friday, May 16, 2025.

This is according to a release on the Lagos State website on Thursday.

The statement is titled, “Model Colleges/upgraded Junior Secondary Schools Commences E-Registration for Year 2025 Entrance Examination.”


He further disclosed that the screening test will be conducted exclusively via Computer-Based Test (CBT) between Wednesday, May 28, and Friday, May 30, 2025, across designated CBT centres statewide.

Orunsolu emphasized that both public and private school pupils are eligible to apply, with an application fee of ₦10,000.

Registration is to be completed through the Examinations Board Portal at https://pay.examboard.com.ng/model/payment/login.

“The screening test remains the sole criterion for admission into JSS1 in all Model Colleges and Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools in Lagos State,” Orunsolu stated.

He encouraged prospective candidates and their parents to visit the Board’s Head Office for any further inquiries.
