Man To Die By Hanging Over Murder In Nasarawa

A middle-aged man,  Gambo Adamu, is to die by hanging for causing the death of one  Hassan Ahmed in Nasarawa State.

This is the ruling of a State High Court sitting in Akwanga,  Akwanga Local Government Area of the State.

Mr Adamu was said to have killed and harvested the organ of the deceased, leading to his death.

The presiding judge, Justice Mustapha Ramat, handed the judgement in Akwanga.

The presiding judge found the convict guilty of the offence, which is punishable by death.

Fielding questions from newsmen shortly after the ruling, the state’s Attorney General, Dr Labaran Shuaibu Magaji, described the judgment as a victory for the people of the State and a deterrent to those who would engage in such nefarious activities.

He said the heinous crime committed by the convict earned him the death sentence.

The Attorney-General said the judgement is a testament to the judiciary’s commitment to justice and efforts to curb criminal tendencies.
