Mavin Records Celebrates Role Models

Mavin Records has taken a significant step in promoting positive change through a series of impactful activities centered on mentorship and the creation of worthy role models.

With the theme ‘Positive Role Models’ it was a call to action for men to step up and be agents of change in their communities.

President & Chief Operating Officer, Mavin Records, Tega Oghenejobo, stated that “By creating avenues for men to connect, share experiences, and learn from one another, we hope to foster a culture of growth, responsibility, and empowerment.”

“As we celebrate Men’s Day, we want to emphasize the importance of mentorship and the impact that positive role models can have on shaping the next generation of leaders. We hope the conversations do not end here” he added.

According to the management of the company, the rationale behind this effort was to provide avenues for personal growth, meaningful connections, and promote good role models across various sectors.

Kicking off the series of activities lined up for the months with a visit to Ikoyi Prison, the team, in collaboration with talented artist- Magixx and legal NGO, Gavel, gave provisions to the inmates and engaged with the Public Relations Officer to learn about the challenges within Nigeria’s justice system.

The team also expressed a commitment to help free over fifty (50) inmates with bailable offenses.

As part of the activities to celebrate the historic day, Mavin Global played host to Native Records in a novelty football match conceived with a view to foster camaraderie and encouraging positive male bonding,

The company also held its inaugural Men’s Day Mixer, dubbed “Ditch Your Streetwear” where professionals from multiple sectors such as finance, media, business, health, music, and sports gathered to provide mentees the unique opportunity to connect, learn, and exchange ideas.

Some of the distinguished mentors that took part included: Tega Oghenejobo, President & COO of Mavin Global, Dr. Chinonso Egemba (Aproko Doctor), Joey Akan, Journalist & Music Critic, Nonso Eagle, Creative Director at Piggyvest, Bola Lawal, CEO of Premia Business Network, Chinaza Onuza, CEO of Inkblot Studios and many others.

The evening was not only about learning, but also entertainment. The guests were treated to an awe-inspiring magician’s performance, and the event concluded with a passionate live performance by music artist, Ladipoe.
