Napoli Say No To Galatasaray Over Victor Osimhen’s Permanent Move

Napoli’s sporting director, Giovanni Manna, has firmly dismissed any speculation regarding Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen making a permanent move to Turkish giants Galatasaray.

In a recent statement, Manna pointed out that the Turkish Super Lig champions are unable to meet the hefty €75 million buyout clause embedded in Victor Osimhen’s contract, further asserting that negotiations are effectively off the table.

The Napoli sporting director stated, “Our door is closed to negotiations. Currently, Galatasaray does not possess the financial capability to meet this significant amount.”

Manna also highlighted that while the fee stands at €75 million, it is worth noting that many clubs are showing interest in acquiring Osimhen and are prepared to meet that financial demand.

The 25-year-old striker, who has been outstanding since joining Galatasaray on a season-long loan deal in September, has made a remarkable impact on the field.

In just nine appearances across various competitions, Osimhen has netted an impressive eight goals and provided four assists, showcasing his talent and value to Okan Buruk’s squad.

This strong performance has undoubtedly attracted attention, but Manna’s statements indicate that Napoli are not currently looking to entertain offers for the Nigeria international.

Note that Naija News reported earlier that Galatasaray are planning a swap deal for Osimhen since they might not be able to meet the release clause of the striker.
