NFF warns against fake Super Eagles coach, Eric Chelle, X accounts

The Nigeria Football Federation has issued a public disclaimer warning against fake social media accounts impersonating Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle.

In a post on Saturday via X, the NFF clarified that Chelle does not have an account on X (formerly Twitter), and any account claiming to be him on the platform is fake.

“Super Eagles Head Coach, Eric Chelle, does not have an X account. His only official social media presence is on Instagram: [@eric_chelle],” the statement read.

The warning comes amid growing concerns about misinformation and fraudulent activities on social media, where fake accounts often spread misleading content.

The statement urged fans and the general public to follow only the verified Instagram account for authentic updates related to the Super Eagles coach.

“Please be advised that Super Eagles Head Coach, Eric Chelle, does not possess an X account. Exercise caution and be wary of scams or any misleading information,” the post added.
