NNL; Jigawa Golden Stars Threatens To Sack Coach Mato For Poor Performance

The management of Jigawa Golden Stars FC has issued a two-match ultimatum to the team head coach, Ado Mato and his assistants following a series of disappointing results in the ongoing Nigeria National League, NNL.
This was contained In a press statement signed by the club’s media aide, Ibrahim Isyaku, and made available to newsmen, with the management insisting that Coach Mato must secure a minimum of two wins in the next two matches or face termination of his contract.



The club chairman, Gambo Umar Labbo, stated that the decision was made in the best interests of the club and its dedicated supporters.

He emphasized that the management is committed to ensuring the team maintains its competitive edge and performs at the highest level.

Jigawa Golden Stars have had a challenging start to the NNL season, recording two losses and two draws in their opening four matches. The team is set to host Wikki Tourists of Bauchi on Saturday, January 11, 2025, in what is now a high-stakes encounter for the coaching staff.

The club’s management stressed that the ultimatum was a necessary step to drive the team forward and improve its performance.

They assured fans that the decision was not taken lightly and pledged to support the team and coaching staff during this critical period.
