No Road Project In Abia LG For 25 Years – Lawmaker

Deputy majority leader, Abia State House of Assembly, Mathias Umeh, has said until the Alex Otti’s administration, none before it flagged-off road reconstruction project in Umunneochi local government area in 25 years.

Umeh spoke to LEADERSHIP Weekend on the sidelines of the flag-off ceremony of the reconstitution of the 11.27 Mbala-Umuaku-Ngodo road in the area by Governor Alex Otti.

The member representing Umunneochi constituency in the House described the government’s effort on the project as remarkable and unprecedented in the history of the area.

The chairman of the House Committee on Budget, Planning and Multilateral and SDGs noted that by the gesture the governor had written his name in gold in the heart of the people.

“My people,” the legislator noted “will remain grateful to Otti for this and his restoring of security of lives and property in the area which has revived commercial and social activities,” he said.

He assured the governor that at the right time, the people would join other residents of the state to show him their overwhelming gratitude for his good works.
