Nwudoh Heads Media Team As FCT FA Unveils Standing Committees

The Federal Capital Territory Football Association (FCT FA) has unveiled the composition of six standing committees as part of its commitment to fostering football development, governance and innovation across the region.

According to the chairman of FCT FA, Adam Mouktar Mohammed, the committees will serve as the backbone of the strategic operations, ensuring effective management and sustainable growth of football in the  FCT.

The newly constituted committees are:Technical and Development Committee with Bassey Patrick as the chairman; and have as its mandate to oversee the development of football talent, coaching programs, and grassroots initiatives, while ensuring the implementation of global best practices in technical advancements; Media and Public Relations Committee has Uche Nwudoh as its head and its responsibilities include to enhance the association’s visibility through strategic communication, public engagement, and digital media outreach, while building a positive image for football in the FCT; while Competitions and Events Committee has Hon Salihu Kolo as the chairman and its mandate is to plan, organize, and manage all competitions and events under the FCT FA, ensuring they meet national and international standards.

Finance and Sponsorship Committee with Hon Dr John Gabaya as chairman having its responsibility as to develop financial strategies, secure sponsorships, and oversee the financial health of the association to ensure transparency and accountability; Ethics and Disciplinary Committee has Hashimu O Adams as the chairman and its mandate is to uphold the highest standards of integrity and fairness in FCT football by addressing disciplinary matters, ensuring compliance with rules, and promoting ethical conduct among all stakeholders and Women Committee with Pat Ajuma as the chairman of the committee.

FCT FA boss said the football body is committed to inclusivity and will continue to announce additional committees in the coming weeks to address other critical areas of its operations, including Area Councils, Strategic Development & Partnerships, Youth football, referees’ development, and player welfare, Facilities, Media & PR, Appeals. These appointments will align with our vision to create a vibrant and competitive football ecosystem in the FCT.
