Osimhen scores twice as Galatasaray rout Kayserispor 5-1



Nigerian forward, Victor Osimhen, delivered a stellar performance, scoring twice to help Galatasaray secure a dominant 5-1 victory over Kayserispor in the Turkish Süper Lig clash on Sunday.

Osimhen opened the scoring as early as the 4th minute, converting a penalty with precision to give the visitors an early lead.

However, Kayserispor quickly responded in the 14th minute when Stéphane Bahoken equalized with an assist from Kadir Yılmaz.

Galatasaray regained control in the 29th minute through Barış Yılmaz, who slotted home to restore their advantage before halftime, with the scoreline reading 2-1 in favour of the visitors.


In the second half, Galatasaray showcased their dominance.

Yunus Akgün extended the lead in the 51st minute, capitalising on an assist from Abdülkerim Bardakcı.

Osimhen struck again in the 71st minute, calmly finishing a well-timed assist from Akgün to make it 4-1.

Barış Yılmaz added the final flourish in the 87th minute, scoring his second goal of the match with another assist from Akgün, sealing a comprehensive victory for Galatasaray.
