PDP Chieftain Urges Re-strategising For Dividend Of Democracy In Osun

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic party, PDP, in Osun State Omooba Dotun Babayemi has charged the people of Osun State to re-strategise towards making Osun state a better place to live.

Address a mammoth crowd at the launch of a cooperative forum, tagged ATUNTO OSUN, (re-strategizing Osun) in Osogbo, Babayemi said the failure of government to meet the needs of the populace informed the launch of the scheme aimed at helping people start small scale businesses and thereby alleviating their suffering.

The former governorship aspirant on the platform of PDP stated that under the scheme, beneficiaries will have access to counterpart funds provided by Omooba Babayemi for their businesses.

The politician insisted that the platform was created for the people since the government has neglected the responsibility of meeting the needs of citizens.

He expressed his commitment to the well-being of residents of Osun State adding that he could not however do it alone, hence the need for joint collaboration of like minds to salvage the people of Osun from penury.

At the event were chieftains of several political parties including the All progressives Congress (APC) and Accord Party, (AP) as well as thousands of people.
