PICTORIAL: Police Recover 19 Stolen Vehicles In Abuja

Operatives of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) have recovered 19 stolen vehicles within the Federal Capital Territory.

LEADERSHIP investigations showed that the recoveries were done between January and February 2025, and that the cars were stolen from various locations across the FCT.

The vehicles were reported stolen and subsequently recovered in Jos, Niger, Kaduna, and the FCT.

Confirming the story, FCT police spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, said one vehicle was recovered by the Maitama Division; three were recovered by Mpape Division; one recovered from Bwari Division, and two vehicles were recovered by the Central Police Station.

SP Adeh further said two vehicles were recovered by ⁠Trademore Division; two by Mabushi Division; one recovered by Anti-Car Theft Unit; two recovered by
Utako Division; one recovered by ⁠Gwarimpa Division; two by Durumi Division and two were recovered by ⁠Kubwa Division.

Meanwhile, the FCT Police Commissioner, CP Olatunji Disu, has said that the FCT Police Command remained committed to safeguarding the welfare of residents and protecting their property.

He urged the public to adopt proactive measures to secure their vehicles, with the installation of vehicle tracking devices.

He also called for vehicle owners to consider the implementation of supplementary security devices, such as: steering wheel locks, pedal locks, alarm systems and immobilisers.
