Sir Offor was honoured with a prestigious award in recognition of his philanthropic contributions to the Nigerian Police Force and its officials and their family members.

The award was presented to him at the second edition of the Police Service Commission annual awards ceremony held on Tuesday at the Commission’s corporate headquarters in Jabi Abuja.

Receiving the award on behalf of Sir Emeka Offor, AIG Chris Ezike (Rtd) and Chief of Staff to Sir Emeka Offor, commenced IGP Solomon Arase (Rtd)-led PSC for their leadership style and assured the commitment of Sir Emeka Offor and his Wife to continue to give back to the society.

“He’s very very delighted with what has happened here today and also very delighted with the leadership style of IGP Solomon Arase rtd. and we want to wish him well in all he’s doing at the Police service commission.

“Sir Emeka Offor can comfortably be described as an institution, he has received several awards all of them are based on acts of philanthropy both nationally and internationally but this is very significant because it’s coming from a very rare constituency.

“Yes, the Police Service commission oversees the Nigeria Police Force. These are not institutions that are very very deliberate, very very routine and willing to give out awards at every time.

“They are sensitive, they are security conscious and they do not embrace all the time. So coming from them at this particular time we are happy with what they do. Sir E is very happy with what he’s been doing and he will continue to do.

“Earlier in the day, we were at the State Police Command where we gave out things to the widows of the Police Officers wife association. So it’s yuletide period and it’s time to give,” Ezike said.

Several eminent Nigerians including former chairmen, directors and friends of the Commission were honoured at the 2023 PSC annual award ceremony with seven categories of the awards.
