Top actors converged at the IMAX Cinemas in Lekki, Lagos, on Tuesday, January 21, 2024, for a private screening of the movie, ‘Something about the Briggs’. The exclusive event, which held in a private theatre, was attended by a select group of entertainers, including the film’s cast.
The film tells the compelling story of a young woman who grapples with her decision to accept a marriage proposal from her lover, haunted by family trauma surrounding marriage. The film humorously explores the realities of relationships and the complexities of commitment. Leading the cast are Daniel Etim-Effiong and Ariyike Owolagba, aka Ariyike Dimples, alongside notable actors such as Rita Dominic, Norbert and Gloria Young, Bukky Wright, Stan Nze, Iyabo Ojo and Linda Ejiofor-Suleiman.
Reflecting on her experience working on the film, Rita Dominic said, “Experiencing the film and seeing the final product was truly rewarding. Most importantly, reconnecting with all the cast members was a highlight for me. We formed a strong bond on set, and it was wonderful to share this moment with them.”
Written and produced by Bukola Ogunsola, the movie elicited different reactions from viewers from laughter to tears and even suspense.
