Sanwo-Olu Celebrates Razaq Okoya At 85

Lagos State governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has felicitated with billionaire industrialist and chairman of the Eleganza Group, Chief Rasaq Akanni Okoya, on his 85th birthday.



He said the renowned business magnate and philanthropist, who is 85 today, Sunday, is worth celebrating for his life of consistent commitment and contribution to the economy and livelihood of many Nigerians, particularly in Lagos State, where many of his companies are located.

Governor Sanwo-Olu, in a statement yesterday by his special adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Gboyega Akosile, said Chief Okoya, the Aare of Lagos, has contributed to the growth of Nigeria’s economy, provided jobs for many Nigerians through his investments that have spread to other African market.

He said, “On behalf of my family, the government and the people of Lagos State, I join family, friends and business associates to celebrate the chairman of the Eleganza Group.
and the RAO Property Investment Company, Chief Rasaq Akanni Okoya, on his 85th birthday celebration.

He is one of Nigeria’s business magnates and philanthropists that are impacting lives positively.

“The Aare of Lagos is a generous man who has given hope through philanthropic gestures to the less privileged in the society. He has given scholarships to many people, particularly the young people, to further their education and also provided funds to many people to start small businesses.
