Seaman’s Schnapps empowers Ibadan artisans

Seaman’s Schnapps has partnered with the Nigerian Artisans and Technicians Conference to empower artisans in Ibadan through a three-day programme that equipped them with essential tools to enhance their trades.

In a statement, the firm noted that its initiative provided artisans in fields such as tailoring, auto mechanics, and bricklaying with sewing machines, wheelbarrows, head pans, and shovels as part of its effort toward prosperity.

The brand distributed the tools to selected beneficiaries after a screening process facilitated by NATCO.

The Senior Brand Manager for Seaman’s Schnapps, Nnenna Uche-Onyenacho, explained the initiative’s purpose.

“Seaman’s Schnapps is a brand rooted in tradition and blessings. This empowerment initiative is an extension of our essence to not only be present at ceremonies and prayers but to actively support our consumers in their pursuit of prosperity,” he said.

Uche-Onyenacho emphasised the spiritual and practical importance of the tools, adding “These tools are not just items; they are instruments of blessings that will multiply efforts and bring abundance to their lives.”

She highlighted the brand’s unique connection to artisans, remarking, “For decades, artisans have used Seaman’s Schnapps at their graduation ceremonies, praying for success as they embark on their entrepreneurial journeys.

“This initiative ensures they receive both spiritual and material support to achieve their dreams.”

Uche-Onyenacho also reaffirmed the company’s plans to expand the program nationwide, declaring “This initiative is just the beginning. We aim to ensure artisans across the country benefit from this program. At Seaman’s Schnapps, our mission is to secure blessings and prosperity for all.”

Meanwhile, the Oyo State Commissioner for Trade and Industry, Adebisi Adeniyi, commended Seaman’s Schnapps for its impactful gesture during the handover of tools.

“This initiative is a shining example of how corporate social responsibility should be done,” Adeniyi asserted. “By providing artisans with the tools they need to succeed, Seaman’s Schnapps has demonstrated true leadership and care for the Nigerian people.”

Meanwhile, beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the support, including an auto mechanic Agboola Malik who saw an opportunity to get a fresh start, remarking “These tools are a blessing. Now, I can take on bigger jobs and offer better services. This program has given me a fresh start.”

Similarly, a tailor Orisadare Damilola said, “The sewing machine I received is more than just a tool; it’s an opportunity to grow my business and train others. I’m deeply grateful to Seaman’s Schnapps for this life-changing gesture.”

Grand Oak Limited’s Marketing Manager, Gbemileke Lawal, highlighted the initiative’s alignment with the brand’s values, noting “Seaman’s artisans initiative is a clear demonstration of the brand’s purpose, value, and essence. It underscores the iconic brand’s legacy of blessing humanity across occasions, times, and seasons.”
