Spotify celebrates Nigerian music at Wrapped party



Lagos became the epicentre of excitement as music streaming platform, Spotify, hosted a party at the Space Hub in Lekki.

The party marked the grand finale of Spotify’s annual Wrapped celebrations, which had already held in Johannesburg (South Africa) and Nairobi (Kenya).

The event brought together media personalities, social media influencer and music enthusiasts to celebrate an incredible year for Nigerian music.

Speaking in a statement sent to Saturday Beats, Spotify’s Head of Music for Sub-Saharan Africa, Phiona Okumu, said, “The Wrapped party is a testament to the growth of Nigerian music on Spotify this year. Witnessing the energy and the sheer talent on display was truly inspiring. We’re incredibly proud to be supporting the next wave of stars and celebrating the global impact of this vibrant music scene.”

Performers at the event include M.I.A, Brazy, Joshua Baraka from Uganda, Fido, Ayo Maff, Morravey, Zerrydl, Kaestyle, Mr. Dealer, Deela; as well as DJs— Wearethechemicals, Aniko, 4kerty, Tunez and YK Mule.
