TCN Confirms Destruction of 3 Towers On Maiduguri–Damaturu Line

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) confirmed on Friday the destruction of three of its towers on the Maiduguri–Damaturu Transmission Line, suspected to be caused by insurgents using explosives.

Mrs Ndidi Mbah, the General Manager of Public Affairs at TCN, made this statement in Abuja.

Mbah said that, alongside the destruction of the towers, an officer from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) was killed during the attack.

“It is truly another very sad day for us at TCN due to this incident, especially with the loss of life of the NSCDC official.

“TCN commiserates with the family of the deceased and the NSCDC for this very sad and shocking incident.”
