Nigerian forward, Yusuf Abdulazeez, has bid farewell to Swedish club, Skövde AIK, after completing a loan deal at the side, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
In a letter addressed to the club, Abdulazeez reflected on his time at Skövde with a whirlwind of emotions, acknowledging the extraordinary experiences and memories he had during his time at the club.
The 21-year-old thanked the club’s fans, teammates and management for their warmth, support and belief in him and credited their efforts in avoiding relegation.
Abdulazeez scored seven goals and provided three assists, finishing as the club’s top scorer during his time at Skövde AIK.
As he returns to Mjallby AIF, he expressed his gratitude for the lessons and growth during his time at Skovde. Despite returning to his parent club, he assured the club of his continued support and would be wishing them success.
He wrote, “Playing for Skovde AIK has been an honour and a privilege. The warmth and support of the fans, the love within the team, and the competitive spirit of this club have left an indelible mark on me. Your belief in me allowed me to give my all on the field, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the team’s success.
