VerveLife organises wellness programmes for youths



The seventh edition of VerveLife, Africa’s premier wellness programme, has strengthened its focus on youth engagement and community building across Nigeria and other parts of the continent.

In a statement on Wednesday, Verve, a subsidiary of Interswitch Group, highlighted the initiative’s role in fostering a wellness-driven culture among youths. It described the programme as a platform to encourage healthier lifestyles while driving resilience and social connections.

The Group Chief Executive Officer of Interswitch, Mitchell Elegbe, emphasised the strategic importance of VerveLife, saying, “Seven years ago, we launched VerveLife to connect with Nigerians through wellness, a passion we saw resonate with people across the country.

“Over the years, VerveLife has expanded significantly, showcasing a shared desire for spaces where individuals can come together to focus on health, build resilience, and strengthen their networks.”

The programme, according to the statement, hosted activities in key cities such as Lagos, Abuja, and Kampala, culminating in a grand finale in Lagos. The finale featured live performances by Afrobeats star 9ice and other entertainers, blending wellness with entertainment to attract diverse audiences.

Elegbe underscored the broader impact of the initiative, noting, “This is not just about fitness; VerveLife is a strategic effort to empower youths to embrace healthier habits, improve productivity, and contribute to the development of their communities. It aligns wellness with community advancement, ensuring long-term benefits for participants and their environments.”

The growing success of VerveLife reflects Verve’s commitment to leveraging wellness as a business strategy to connect with youths, promote productivity, and foster community development in line with its broader corporate goals.
