VFS Global, the world’s leading provider of technology services for secure global mobility, has acquired a majority stake in CiX Citizen Experience, a Brazil-based pioneer in digital and physical citizen services.
The strategic acquisition, announced in a statement, marks a significant step in VFS Global’s mission to expand its capabilities and transform public service delivery worldwide, with a particular focus on scaling operations into Africa.
CiX Citizen Experience, founded in 2008, has established itself as a leader in Brazil’s public service sector, operating over 250 service centres across key regions such as São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, and Ceará.
The company provides more than 200 types of services to states and municipalities, having served over 150 million citizens and issued 30 million identity cards and 20 million driver’s licenses.
By integrating CiX’s innovative digital platforms with VFS Global’s extensive global infrastructure, the company said the partnership aims to deliver cutting-edge, citizen-centric solutions to governments and private sector clients worldwide.
