Victor Boniface Available For Bayer Leverkusen Vs Atletico Madrid UCL Clash

Bayer Leverkusen’s manager, Xabi Alonso, has announced that forward Victor Boniface will be part of the squad for their highly anticipated UEFA Champions League match against Atletico Madrid.

Victor Boniface, who has been diligently working towards regaining full fitness, has been sidelined with a thigh injury sustained while on international duty last November.

The 24-year-old striker’s absence has been felt keenly, as he missed the team’s last 12 matches in all competitions. However, following a successful return to full training, Boniface is now set to make his comeback on the European stage.

In a press conference, Alonso expressed his optimism regarding Boniface’s progress, stating, “We trained again this morning, and after assessing his condition, we decided that Victor Boniface can join the UCL trip to Madrid with the team.

“He is getting better and better each day, and he will definitely be included in the squad for our match tomorrow [at 9 p.m. today]. This is incredibly positive news for all of us, and especially for him personally. Boni is feeling good, and it’s wonderful to have him back with us.”

Boniface’s contributions this season has been significant; he has tallied an impressive eight goals and one assist in just 15 appearances for Bayer Leverkusen across all competitions. His return comes at a crucial time for the team as they aim to secure a strong performance against a formidable opponent in Atletico Madrid.
