Former Kano State Governor and leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, has vowed to significantly diminish the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) votes in Kano State during the 2027 elections.
Speaking during a meeting at his residence in Kano with stakeholders from Tsanyawa Local Government Area, Kwankwaso addressed former councillors and senior special advisers who served under his previous administration.
He attributed the New Nigeria People’s Party’s (NNPP) strong performance in the 2023 elections to the dedication of his team, which sidelined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to secure only 15,000 votes in Kano.
Despite being a relatively new political platform and starting its campaign late, the NNPP made significant strides in the state.
Kwankwaso asserted, “Now, it’s our turn to diminish APC’s influence. We will work tirelessly to ensure their votes are reduced to less than 15,000 in Kano come 2027.”
He stressed the importance of grassroots mobilisation and unwavering commitment to strengthening the NNPP’s position as a leading political force in Kano and beyond.
He also urged his supporters to stay focused and deliver results that would ensure the party’s future electoral success.
