Why I’m called King of Vibes— Hypeman Kenturky
Hypeman, Adeoye Ademola, aka Hypeman Kenturky, has said that he is called the ‘King of Vibes’ because he is the “ultimate party starter”.
In an interview with Saturday Beats, he said, “I am known as the ‘King of Vibes’ because I’m the ultimate party starter. That’s also why I’m called PTT— Pay To Talk. I am always ready for any kind of party with my microphone. Hyping isn’t something you memorise; it’s a talent and a gift. I use it to transform the energy of any party. I flow with the music like I own the song, and that brings out a unique kind of vibe my supporters love.”
On what differentiates him from other hypeman out there, Kenturky said, “I bring high energy to the stage, not just for my own performances but also when introducing other artistes. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of bringing several top performers on stage, including Buju, Omah Lay, Diamond Platnumz, Davido, Runtown, Small Doctor, B-Red, Queen Sheebah (Uganda), Eddy Kenzo, Peruzzi, Pasuma, Jux (Tanzania), Patoranking, Seyi Vibez, Portable, Phyno, Spice Diana (Uganda), Remi Aluko, Taye Currency, and Lyta.”
Speaking on his recent experience performing at the Lekki Dubai Club, the CEO of PTT Entertainment said, “It was a memorable night. In fact, the club owner even asked if I could work in Dubai permanently. I want to say a big thank you to the beautiful people of Dubai and to Typical Niger, the promoter who made the tour happen.”
Speaking on his future plans, he said, “After my Europe tour, I plan to begin my USA tour. Before that, I’m looking to release an Extended Play album featuring one of Nigeria’s top artistes.”
