‘You Won’t Offend Elders’ – Obafemi Martins Blesses Osimhen On 26th Birthday

Former Super Eagles star, Obafemi Martins, popularly known as ‘Oba Goal’, was on ground on Sunday to bless Victor Osimhen’s latest car to mark his 26th birthday.

Naija News reports that Osimhen, who currently plays as a striker for Süper Lig club Galatasaray, on loan from Serie A club Napoli, celebrated his 26th birthday on Sunday, December 29, with a green Lamborghini Urus as a present for himself.

Praying for Osimhen in the Yoruba language, Martins said: “You will not falter. You won’t offend the elders. You will not be involved in accident with this car. You won’t suffer injury.”

A video that captured the moment was shared on social media on Sunday evening, showing Martins praying for Osimhen in front of the luxurious vehicle.

Following this, Martins took a sip from a glass and passed it to Osimhen, who finished the remaining content.

Osimhen’s new Lamborghini Urus is recognized as the world’s first super sport utility vehicle, with prices ranging from $237,848 to $269,885, equivalent to approximately ₦371,994,272 to ₦422 million based on the current exchange rate.

Additionally, Osimhen’s 26th birthday was celebrated extensively within the football community, with the official X account of the Super Eagles leading the tributes for the nation’s joint second-all-time highest goal scorer.

“Happy birthday to immediate past Africa Player Of The Year, Victor James Osimhen. We wish you all the best today and always Vic,” the post read.

Osimhen’s parent club, Napoli, also shared a birthday wish for the Nigerian striker with a design, just as Galatasaray posted his picture.

“Today is our football player Victor Osimhen’s birthday! Happy birthday,” Galatasaray wrote.
