Dufil Prima Foods has donated cartons of Indomie noodles to orphanages and elderly homes as part of its Yuletide outreach.
In a statement, the makers of Indomie Noodles, said the donations went to institutions, including the Red Cross Motherless Babies’ Home in Makoko, Modupe Cole Memorial Child Care and Treatment Centre in Akoka, Heritage Homes in Anthony, Little Saints Orphanage in Palmgrove Estate, and Regina Mundi Home for the Elderly in Mushin.
Group Corporate Communication and Events Manager at Dufil Prima Foods, Temitope Ashiwaju, explained the significance of the initiative, highlighting the essential roles the care home organisations play in supporting children without families and elderly individuals in need of care.
Ashiwaju said, “These organisations play a vital role in caring for children without families and elderly individuals in need of support, and Dufil Prima Foods’ donation brought much-needed comfort and cheer to both residents and carers.”
Further, Ashiwaju explained the initiative’s importance to the company’s corporate social responsibility activities, adding, “This is an important part of our CSR activities because we believe in not just providing products but in making a lasting impact on the communities we serve.
“At Indomie Noodles, we listen to the needs of the people, and it’s through initiatives like this that we continue to put smiles on the faces of Nigerians.”
During the visits, both the residents and carers expressed deep gratitude for the support they had received, as many noted how they eagerly anticipate Indomie’s donations each year.
